Second day in Maine. Temperature dipping into the 40’s and it hit me like someone opened the freezer. I’ve had a couple speaking events and have had to get out of the car. I’m a real amateur on this freezing cold. I’m wearing the gloves I wear opening oysters on my hands. No rain gear yet but give me time.

So far, the worst thing that has happened to me on this trip to Maine is walking to my next connecting gate in Chicago. It was a killer. I was literally dragging my backpack. Wasn’t the least bit embarrassed about it either.

Couple key points for fasting 15 days:
– Legs are jello in the morning, and I have to talk to them very sternly.
– Walking the Chicago terminal will raise your heart rate.
– Mouth is dry and I have to have water nearby or I start a coughing fit and all the folks with Covid masks look at me really funny.

Adios, typing and thinking at same time is wearing me out!
